“It’s not the glitz or the glam, it’s the art” I say Prada, you think shoes, bags, haute couture… Well don’t feel ashamed because thats what most minds will associate with Prada. I am proud to say that I no longer have mind like that. Mine now associates Prada with its foundation and adoration for my passion: art.

The second you step out at Largo Ilsacro, 2, Milan you are immersed into another dimension, one of aesthetic, architectural perfection, and above all incredible masterpieces. From permanent expositions to temporary ones, all of them will take your breath away. At least they did take mine away. Who would have thought that a restroom could be designed in such a way that you can’t even differentiate between a wall, door or mirror.

Now, I could go on for hours talking about every single corner of the buildings, but thats not what most people wish to read for pleasure. So I would like to draw your attention to the piece photographed below . The “Upside Down Mushroom Room” by Carsten Höller, an installation which to say the least, blew me away. The whole experience to actually see the piece was a masterpiece in itself. Even looking at the photograph, the perspective still confuses me and occupies my brain. In fact this artists piece is the perfect example to prove that art is an escape to an unknown place. Being infront of these spinning mushrooms, you feel like in a fairy tale, an alien world whatever or wherever you want to be.

However, I couldn’t help to think about how Höller came up with such a composition, he must not have been sober that is sure! Even so, he managed to create something extraordinary. This goes to show that no one is not talented enough to create art, it is truly international and remains the one an only thing which isn’t filtered or restricted in today’s world. It is open to anyone and everyone, you just have to cease the opportunity when it presents itself.

I wouldn’t like to spoil the experience any further, so I will leave you on the edge and hopefully tempt you to go see for yourself. If you do, you will surely not be disappointed and most of all you will not longer be part of the majority of minds which associate Prada with material but with...
