"La femme à la peau bleu"

After having listened to a song entitled "La femme à la peau bleu" on repeat for so long, I finally decided to give it the recognition it deserved. This song was written by french singer "Vendredi sur mer", who like me is an artist in her own way. I believe that the art world is a big web that continues to weave itself in every direction due to the collaboration between all the existing artistic fields.

The inspiration for my "tribute" to the song came from a picture I had taken. In effect much of my inspiration stems from own photographs taken during trips, or anytime I find something aesthetically pleasing to be honest. I decided to take an abstract approach to complete the portrait, by using a selection of different shades of blue. I played with the contrast between light and dark which made this piece so capturing in my eyes. I always thought that colour added so much more depth to any drawing and is what give it its uniqueness.

Anyone can draw a face but not everyone can apply colours in a way that renders it a masterpiece.
